The Wubb Club

"Wubbzy The Living Statue" is an episode from the Season of Imagination.

Plot[]

Wubbzy is playing with his Kickety-Kick Ball when he notices Walden next to a cloth-covered object. He asks what the object is, and Walden tells him that it's a surprise. Then, he decides to read for a bit and tells him to look after the surprise for him and not reveal it too early. He walks away... And Wubbzy doesn't listen, as he pulls the cloth off too early, revealing a statue holding a sword that looks like him, much to his amazement. He carefully puts the cloth back on and decides to keep on playing with his Kickety-Kick Ball. But when he kicks the ball too hard, it knocks into the cloth-covered statue, breaking it into pieces.

Wubbzy is now fearful that Walden may get mad at him for breaking his surprise... until he bumps into a large can full of white paint, making him look like the statue. Then, he picks up the sword (which was the only part that didn't break when the statue fell over) and gets an idea! He jumps onto the podium of the statue and replicates its pose before Walden comes back. He sees the stone shards on the ground, and mistakes it for stone chippings, as he puts the cloth back on the "statue". He then puts the statue on his All-Over Rover and drives it to the stage.

At the stage, Walden shows off his "statue" that he made for the park, and Mayor Whoozle says that it "looks so real, it's almost alive!" much to Walden's delight! He then brings the statue into the park and walks away from the statue to read a book, finally giving Wubbzy a break from standing still for so long. However, his break is short-lived, as he sees Crabbatha and Buubert arrive to see the new statue, and he quickly returns to his original pose. The two see the statue and decide to start drawing it on some paper. Wubbzy sees them distracted and decides to be a little mischievous with them. He suddenly changes to a different pose, confusing the two of them. When they look back at their papers again, Wubbzy changes his pose once more, which confuses them even more and makes them think the statue is "haunted," causing them to run away screaming.

Wubbzy giggled as he returned to his original statue pose, seeing Widget walking to a bench, holding a sandwich and a newspaper. She sits down, reads the newspaper, and places the sandwich on the armrest... giving Wubbzy a chance to get her sandwich. He immediately snatches it and eats it, making Widget very confused when she sees the statue with breadcrumbs around its mouth. She hurries over to Walden to ask him about it, when he sees Crabbatha and Buubert cowering under a tree. She asks why they're so afraid, and Crabbatha says that the statue is "haunted," which worries Widget. The three of them run to Walden, screaming in fear as they did so.

They quickly speak to Walden about the statue's haunted properties, and Walden says that he'll go check it out. He walks over to the statue and feels it, realizing how warm and fuzzy it feels. As he investigates it further, a little bug named the "Kooky Spooky Katerpillar" climbs onto Wubbzy's nose, scaring him, before running away. This makes everyone think that the statue is really "haunted," as they start to scream, too! Wubbzy runs all across the park, not seeing where he's going from his impulsive movements... until he crashes into a pond, washing the paint off and revealing his color. Everyone sees his wet body and wonders what's happening. Wubbzy then finally confesses that he accidentally broke the statue and promises to try and fix it. Soon, everyone had forgiven Wubbzy, as they all pitched in to fix the statue that was once broken. As they all gaze at the new statue with confidence, the Kooky Spooky Katerpillar returns to jumpscare Wubbzy again, causing him to fall to the ground in fear, and everyone laughs, including him, marking the end of the episode.
